Verica Tackoen



Verica Tackoen has recently returned to consulting where she can apply her experience to assist clients with their recruitment, talent search and management consulting requirements.  She is now also assisting individuals nurture meaningful career paths in a rapidly changing job market, delivering customer focused career coaching services as well.

Verica has over fifteen years experience in human resources consulting, recruitment, executive search and career services.  She commenced her career with Bayside Personnel specializing in civil, structural and environmental engineering successfully placing candidates in Australia, the UK, New Zealand and Dubai.  Verica then accepted the role of Senior Recruitment Manager with Executive Careers Australia (ECA) where she was responsible for the project recruitment management of six new Dick Smith Power House stores grand opening around Victoria.  She then joined Chandler Recruitment Services as Branch Manager in Melbourne’s CBD office specializing in law (administration), medical pathology, civil, construction, environmental and mechanical engineering.  Later Verica established the High Calibre Group, a boutique Human Resources Consulting firm specializing in Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) in multi-disciplinary engineering, retail and retail management.  As the High Calibre Group grew so did its services expanding to management consulting, executive search and senior management training.

Choosing not to grow the business and becoming unsure what direction to take her career in, Verica accepted contracting assignments with AusLink Consulting and Toyota Motor Company.  Later Verica was offered a position at Melbourne Business School, University of Melbourne as Corporate Recruitment Advisor for the Executive MBA, MBA and Master of Marketing cohorts and alumni.  Deciding to start a family, Verica returned to contracting conducting assignments at Deakin University, Department of Treasury and Finance (Environmental Division) and Tanner Menzies while studying towards a Master of Business (Human Resources Management) at Swinburne University of Technology, Hawthorn campus.  Verica gave birth to her daughter right in the middle of semester break and graduated in April, 2010.

Since then, Verica has worked at Amrop Cordiner King as Research Manager.  Her family then moved to Mid-Levels, Hong Kong and they spent time travelling to Europe and around Asia on a regular basis.  Verica still spends a large portion of her time travelling overseas.  More recently, Verica worked at The CEO Institute in Educational Partner Relations which provided her with the opportunity to connect with a large number of reputable, educational institutions around the world.  She assisted in the delivery of continuous professional development for executives as well as the design and implementation of a number of marketing initiatives.

In 2014, Verica founded CERCC (pron. ser-k).  CERCC provides services in management consulting, executive search and recruitment predominately specializing in the environmental, civil, structural, education, human resources and business development sectors.  Of course, Verica can assist clients from other disciplinary spheres on an individual case basis.  CERCC also now offers organizations and individuals alike professional career coaching and careers services.

Verica is vigilant about understanding the latest industry best practices and research findings.  She will be regularly undertaking relevant courses, seminars and expanding her well-informed networks.  In addition, she’ll also be joining key industry associations to supplement her strengths, skills and experience.

Diligent in her approach, Verica strives to work collaboratively with all her clients to implement HR, talent, engagement and careers strategies that work!
